OUR FINISHES 

The JUGLANS & REGIA products have natural finishes. Our most used coating is 100% natural teak oil that is extracted directly from the tree. The teka oil penetrates the wood pores, which protects and nurtures the wood, giving it a long-lasting finish.

The linseed oil is 100% natural and extracted from the linseed plant. We use it to give finishes to our products that will come in contact with food. This coating with linseed oil gives better protection to wood and makes its color turn a bit darker. 

After applying a good amount of oil to our products, we use beeswax with carnauba to give the final finish. This wax does not contain synthetic products nor soft waxes; we use it to enhance the beauty of the grains and provide lasting protection.

RECOMMENDATIONS 

We recommend that you apply oil to your JUGLANS & REGIA products from time to time; this way they will stay nourished and will look like new. 

To do this, use a soft cloth to apply a thin layer of teak or linseed oil and let it absorb during the night. In the morning, with another dry cloth, remove the excess oil. We do not recommend using vegetable or olive oil normally found in households since they can become musty and develop an unpleasant smell.

Avoid washing or soaking the pieces in water. This will make them lose their shine. If the product needs to be cleaned, we recommend doing it with a damp, soft cloth and soap without exposing the product directly to water. After this application, we advise that you moisturize the product with any of the oils mentioned previously.

Avoid exposing the product to direct sunlight; this will prevent changes in the color of the wood; sudden changes of temperature can lead to cracks, compression, or expansion of the wood. Some foods, like beets or turmeric, among other things, can cause stains; these, however, can go away with time. If you'd like to avoid this, don't let such foods come into contact with the wood products.
